What: Walk out organized by AFT Seattle Local 1789 in conjunction with affiliate unions and with support from District administration.
Who: all Seattle Colleges stakeholders--faculty, staff, students, and supporters from across the state.
When: Tuesday, April 16, 2019, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Mass gathering 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Why Our State legislature needs to know that we are serious about the need for better funding. We have reached a crisis point. Our District-wide walkout will be coordinated with actions at other campuses around Washington, sending a strong statement to Olympia.
How: Join the walkout from 8:30-3:00. If you are teaching, bring your students. Classified, exempt and admin staff are encouraged to join walkout activities. District and campus administrators are in support of this action. Stay tuned for more programming details.
