Where: Fisher Building
Why: We've been getting screwed! With four Emergency Manages and some form of state control for most of the past 10 years, we hace taken concessions after concession and carried this district on our backs.
For teaching staff planning on attending this year’s NJEA Convention:
1. If you are planning to attend the NJEA Convention on November 5, please fill out the attached NJEA Convention Notification Form and submit to your administrator. IF YOU ARE NOT REQUESTING PROFESSIONAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS, THIS IS ALL YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT TO ATTEND THE CONVENTION.

As news about the alarming rate of the expansion of corporate charters in our city begins to spread across the state and the nation, it becomes increasingly more important that you remain alert to news media that we share with you on a constant basis. If you read the weekly updates we provide you then you are aware of what the NTU is doing; you are aware that while we are winning some battles in the courts and before the Civil Service Commission our enemies are advancing.
A city divided by itself cannot stand. Forced to send money to corporate charter schools and funding politically connected consultants. But still, South Street rises. Facing constant cuts to staff and resources. But still, South Street rises It’s time to reclaim the promise of public education—to fulfill our collective moral obligation to help all children succeed.

The Maryland Classified Employees Association held its Annual Convention in Ocean City, Maryland located at the Holiday Inn Ocean Front from October 12, 2015 through October 14, 2015. Hundreds of Delegates were greeted by their union brothers and sisters at registration who presented them with gift bags that were created by President Linda Day and her committee members. This year’s convention celebrated 80 years of our union’s untiring efforts in improving the quality of life for State and County employees.
