Apply today to JFT’s 2021-22 Teacher Leaders Program (TLP). TLP will help you learn more about our union, our schools & current issues in education. You will also study action research & complete your own research project. All JFT members - paras, ed diagnosticians, social workers, etc - are invited to apply. The application deadline has been extended to Monday, June 28.
JFT is looking for PSRPs (paras and support staff) who would like to learn more about technology. We have been funded through AFT's Innovation Grant to host paid tech trainings this summer for PSRPs. Trainings start the week of June 21 and space is limited, so RSVP as soon as possible!

The PFT remains in opposition to SB1.
No introduced amendment changes our position. However, there are many amendments that are worthy of consideration as standalone bills, and we have provided an overview of our positions below.
School districts across the United States are hiring additional teachers in anticipation of what will be one of the largest kindergarten classes ever as enrollment rebounds following the coronavirus pandemic.
As you might know, for the past month our Compensation and Benefits Committee has been working on the academic workers rights/job security campaign.

Renee Reisinger enjoys working as a public health professional. She also appreciates that it’s never too late to learn something new. This is why she joins a select few with the distinction of graduating from a first-in-the-nation Master’s Program at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.
