AFT Vermont members will be joining in the May 1st march and rally in Montpelier as part of the movement to Put People First, including health care for all and higher education free from oppressive debt.

The proposed agenda for the April 18, 2012 membership meeting is available.  MSFF members may also make motions for agenda additions from the floor at the meeting.

Hart Research Associates found that by a margin of 26 percentage points, Vermont voters favor allowing early childhood educators to engage in collective bargaining with the state.

An open letter to Maryland State Governor Martin O'Malley from AFT-Maryland President, Marietta English.

The letter expresses concern and disappointment with the inability of our political leaders to reach agreement over our state budget. 23 counties and the city of Baltimore will lose over $260 million, with the impact hitting hardest in areas that are most reliant on state revenues and that can least afford the reductions.

Everyday people will be affected in every way.
