Join AFT Washington’s Virtual Rally for the Future: Protect Higher Education on Thursday, April 8th at 4:00 PM.
We expect our state's budget to come out towards the end of March, and right now we know the Governor's proposed budget suspends the CTC faculty COLA (cost of living adjustment) for at least the next two years, which is the exact opposite of the equity and recovery we have been advocating for this entire Legislative Session! We must make sure our legislators know how negative any cuts will be.
Our virtual rally on April 8th will be an hour where members share the adverse impacts of cuts during the last recession and our current climate. We will hear from community partners and labor allies who are fighting with us for equitable education. And we can't forget about the music and budget trivia!
